Is there an established mechanism for peer consultation?

 

At present, there is no single established mechanism for peer consultation. However, FDO recognizes that:

 

• Peer consultation is initiated by any faculty who wants to be observed or mentored.

• Inputs from classroom observation sessions by peers or mentors can be used to improve teaching or facilitation techniques.

• Research mentoring can be conducted to provide guidance and different perspectives in research outputs.

• All assessments are confidential and cannot form part of evaluation, unless included by the faculty in the portfolio.

 

Faculty who wish to seek assistance for peer consultation sessions may get in touch with FDO for support.
